Laptop Display

When my laptop display broke one Tuesday afternoon, I was very surprised. I’ve had my laptop for over 4 years, so I was due for something to go wrong.

When I turned it on, it started as it normally does, but I soon became aware of the vertical, coloured lines all across my screen. I couldn’t see anything; I couldn’t even shut it down properly because of the coloured lines in the way.

I decided to take it to the local computer repair shop, where I turned it on to show them, and they said instantly that it needed a new screen. I needed it repaired immediately, so I asked how much it would cost and how long. The cost was very high, but I was willing to pay it because I needed it done in a hurry. The problem was, they didn’t keep stock of the screen that I needed and quoted several weeks.

This is too long, I was hoping that they would say several days, or a week at the most. I phoned the manufacturer, but they were quoting similar lead times and prices.

I decided to look on the internet whilst at work. I soon came across a company that offered a very good deal on time and price. They offered to collect it and return it to my home or workplace, then give it a free inspection and diagnosis. Not only this, but they offered to replace the screen the day that they received it and return it the same day. I thought they were bending over backwards just for me, but they try to offer this to everyone.

After having my laptop collected on Wednesday, I had it returned to me on Friday. Stress free and hassle free, I was delighted to have it back.

I would definitely recommend them if you are having problems with your laptop, I’m sure they can help. Here are the details:

Broken Laptop Screen

I sometimes take my laptop to college with me in my laptop bag and it is usually perfectly safe inside. One afternoon during the winter, I slipped on the ice and landed on my laptop bag. It didn’t hurt me much, but it sounded like it had damaged the laptop inside. When I got inside, I opened up the laptop bag, and found that I had cracked the screen completely. I switched it on to see if it was still operable, but it wasn’t.

The screen definitely needed replacing, but I wasn’t sure if I’d damaged anything else inside the laptop.

When I got home, I phoned the local repair shop and asked if they could help. They said they could, but it would take a week or two to get the screen and then fit it, followed by a longer wait to investigate and possibly replace anything else that was wrong with the laptop. After that, they would be charging hundreds of pounds.

This didn’t seem good enough, so I contacted the manufacturer to see if they could help. They offered a slightly quicker time, but an even larger fee.

So I looked on the internet to see if there were any specialist companies that may be able to help. I soon found the perfect one.

They offered a collection and return service through a trusted courier that would ensure I would receive my laptop back in safely and quickly. They also offered to replace the screen the day that they received it, and to diagnose and check if any other problems were present. Luckily, there weren’t but it’s good to know that it came free.

So after packing it up and having it collected on the Monday, I had it returned to me on Wednesday with a perfect new screen in place. I was very impressed at how quick, reliable and affordable it was. It’s good to know that I won’t have to worry about finding a reliable company if I have any problems in the future, as well.

I would recommend them if you are having problems with your laptop, I’m sure they can help. Here are the details:

Best way to set up your round trampoline

Best way to set up your round trampolineRound Trampoline

While there are lots of different round trampoline manufacturers out there, most of the installation jobs are pretty similar. Follow the manual to set up the frame according to the manufacture. Some trampolines may have more legs then others. 16, 15 and 14ft trampolines should have a minimum of 6 U-Legs. It may seem like a lot but it’s good for the stability of the trampoline. Any size below 12 normally has about 4 U-Legs. Once you have the frame all set up, it is time to put on the jumping mat. This is the most important part. If you do it incorrect you may end up over stretching a spring, or even hurt yourself. Make sure you lay the mat down on the ground inside the frame. Next attached all the springs to the jumping mat. 16 ft trampoline should have 120 springs, 15 ft trampoline; 100 springs, and 14 ft trampoline; 96 springs. Make sure you have a trampoline spring tool. You will not be able to setup the mat without it. The spring will potentially pop up and hit you in the face if you do without the spring tool. And please make sure you wear gloves. Hook the first spring on. The next spring you hook on should be the one in the opposite side. So look at it as if it’s a clock. The 12 first then the 6. Then the 3 and 9. 2 and the 7, and so on and so forth. This is very important to put the spring in like this because it does not over stretch the springs. If you go from one spring to the next it will make it almost impossible to put in the very last spring. Once you hook up the springs in the opposite clock formation, put in every 3 springs. Count 3 spots and one spring, and another 3 spots. Once that’s finish then you can go ahead and put in the springs in whatever order you like.

Installing a round trampoline

First time installer should take less than 2 hours to install, provided the pieces are laid out correctly and orderly.

Trampolines

Before attempting to install your trampoline, always lay out the pieces and make sure all the pieces are complete. Recommended to have at least 2 person install. First, connect the top frame. Some trampolines come with t-joints and some come with welded joints. T-joints are always better than welded joints, because welded joints, after jumping and vibration over time will eventually crack. As for t-joints, there is no cracking. As soon as top rails are connected, work on the legs next. Connect the leg extensions to the w-legs. Raise the leg extensions and connect to the top rail frame. Now, the frame should be fully completed. Next, install the jumping mat. Start by hooking the jumping mat at 12 o’clock, then 6 o’clock, then 3 o’clock, then 9 o’clock. As soon as the four corner springs are on, work your way around the trampoline. Make sure to not overload the springs on one side over the other. Try to evenly work your way around the trampoline with the springs. Overloading the springs on one side before the other can put a lot of stress on the other side.

Next install the spring pad. Place the mat over the springs and make sure the skirt of the mat fits over the frame. Tie the straps and hooks onto the v-rings and frame.

Start with the net enclosure by installing the inserting the poles into the sleeves. Clamp the poles to the legs and work your way around the trampoline.

How to prevent trampoline injuries?

When buying a trampoline there are many things to consider. Aside from the size of the trampoline and the make and model of the trampoline, one of the most important questions is, how can I keep my children safe in them? According to the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission hundreds of kids get injured each year. Most of these injuries could easily be prevented. Here’s a list of things to consider when buying a trampoline.

Over 75% of all injuries can be prevented simply by having a safety net. The safety nets purpose it to break any fall that may occur should the child fall awkward and have any chance of falling to the ground. While some owners feel that they put the trampoline into the ground they do not need a net enclosure. This is absolutely false! With the net enclosure the child will fall back into the jumping mat which has a little bit of give and the kid will bounce right back up. When you have no net enclosure they will fall either to the grass or the concrete. When having small kids it is imperative you must have a net enclosure.

Next thing is to read the manual. Understand the exact specs of you trampoline. If it said 250 then it’s 250. It does not mean 250 each person. It’s 250 total weigh of all the people in the trampoline. Having too much weight on the trampoline will put added pressure on the springs and also the frame. Once this happens there is always potential the frame could collapse and cause injury or even death.

The third thing is to make sure the trampoline is put together correctly. All the nuts and bolts are as tight as they can be and no springs are missing or damage. Even over stretch springs can cause injury. Make sure the trampoline is completely up and fully assembled before anyone hops on for a test jump. There are many parents who put just the frame and the spring mat up and the kids already jumping. While we understand you are very anxious to have your kids jump and few more minutes will not hurt.

The last thing is to make sure this is only one person jumping at once. Most injuries occur with people jump and fall on the next. Heads bumping, leg getting twisted. Once you are up in the air it is almost impossible to control your fall.

So while a trampoline can be a fun toy to have at home at the same time it can be dangerous without the proper supervision. Most of the items mentions can easily be prevented.

Athletes who most commonly train on rectangular trampolines are cheerleaders, wake boarders, gymnasts, basketball players and divers.

When choosing a rectangular trampoline, make sure the frame and springs are thick enough. The frame has to be at least 3.0 mm thick and springs should be close to 9 inches long and slightly tapered at ends for more strength. Weak frame and springs will give a weak bounce. Always call your trampoline store before making your purchase, so you can understand all the specifications of the trampoline.

Why Choose a Rectangular Trampoline?

Rectangular trampolines, although, more expensive than round trampolines, can be well worth the money. Many athletes and gymnasts train on rectangular trampolines to build endurance, stamina and coordination. Unlike round trampolines, which have a center gravitational point, rectangular trampolines do not. Each individual springs work at different rates, giving the jumper the ability to perform maneuvers and have control of their bounce throughout various parts of the mat. Parents, who want their children to excel in sports, have rectangular trampolines in their backyards. Many professional/personal trainers recommend their athletes to train on rectangular trampolines. Just 45 minutes per day on trampoline training can make a tremendous different in an athlete’s motor skills. The twisting and turning, while suspended in air helps with the coordination and body control. The constant jumping improves the endurance, stamina, strength and builds bone density.
