Laptop LCD Screen

When my laptop display broke one Tuesday afternoon, I was very surprised. I’ve had my laptop for over 4 years, so I was due for something to go wrong.

When I turned it on, it started as it normally does, but I soon became aware of the vertical, coloured lines all across my screen. I couldn’t see anything; I couldn’t even shut it down properly because of the coloured lines in the way.

I decided to take it to the local computer repair shop, where I turned it on to show them, and they said instantly that it needed a new screen. I needed it repaired immediately, so I asked how much it would cost and how long. The cost was very high, but I was willing to pay it because I needed it done in a hurry. The problem was, they didn’t keep stock of the screen that I needed and quoted several weeks.

This is too long, I was hoping that they would say several days, or a week at the most. I phoned the manufacturer, but they were quoting similar lead times and prices.

I decided to look on the internet whilst at work. I soon came across a company that offered a very good deal on time and price. They offered to collect it and return it to my home or workplace, then give it a free inspection and diagnosis. Not only this, but they offered to replace the screen the day that they received it and return it the same day.
